Pickup is before dawn so you reach the launch field while the balloons are still being inflated — a spectacle in itself. After a briefing from your pilot you climb into the basket and lift off just as the sun clears the horizon.
The flight lasts around 40 to 45 minutes and drifts over dry riverbeds, argan and olive groves, kasbah ruins and small Berber hamlets, with the High Atlas glowing on one side and Marrakech in the haze on the other.
After landing you are driven to a traditional Berber house for breakfast: msemen and baghrir pancakes, amlou, honey, olive oil, eggs, bread from the wood oven, coffee and mint tea. Everyone receives a signed flight certificate before the transfer back to the city.
