Is Essaouira worth a day trip from Marrakech?
Yes, if you want the coast, the ramparts and the harbour and are happy with a long drive in each direction. If you want to see the town at sunrise and sunset, stay overnight instead — ask us and we will arrange it.
Do we stop at the argan goats?
The route passes through argan country and we stop at a cooperative where the oil is pressed. Goats in the trees are a wild sight, not a scheduled attraction, and we do not pay for staged photo stops.
How much free time is there?
Most of the middle of the day. After the ramparts and the harbour you are free to eat, walk the medina or use the beach until the agreed meeting time.
Can we swim?
You can use the beach. The Atlantic here is cool and often windy, and there is no lifeguard service included in this trip.
