Private Luxury Morocco Journeys

Morocco, Designed Around You.

Private journeys through Marrakech, the High Atlas, Agafay and beyond — combining exceptional stays, private transport, local expertise and personally designed experiences.

Toubkal Views Luxury is the private division of a Moroccan company that operates on the ground every day. Our guides are from Imlil and the High Atlas valleys. Our drivers are our own. Our office is in Marrakech, not in London or New York.

That is the whole proposition. A foreign agency sells you Morocco and subcontracts it. We answer the phone at seven in the morning when your flight has moved, because we are here.

Start with a brief, not a package

Tell us dates, party size and the kind of trip you want. We check live availability and send one written proposal with a single final price.

Airport to airport

Welcome at Marrakech Menara, private vehicle and driver throughout, accommodation coordination, guides, reservations, departure transfer. One WhatsApp thread from landing to take-off.

The High Atlas is our own ground

Imlil, the Asni valley, Toubkal, the Azzaden. Named local guides, adapted to the day rather than to a published itinerary. This is where we are demonstrably better than a foreign tailor-made desk.

Real photography, verified facts

Every image on these pages is our own or owner-authorised. We do not publish artificial hotel imagery, and we do not quote a rate we have not verified for your dates.

What luxury Morocco means when you book it here

What a private Morocco journey actually is

Private means the vehicle, the driver and the guide are yours for the duration. Nobody else is collected, no departure has to fill, and the day can change at breakfast. Shared touring is the opposite trade: a lower price in exchange for a fixed route, fixed timings and a coach of strangers.

In practice the difference shows up in small decisions — leaving Imlil an hour earlier because cloud is coming in, stopping in the Asni valley because the Saturday souk is on, cutting a monument short because the party is tired. Those are guide decisions, and they are only possible when the guide answers to you.

Who this is designed for

Couples and honeymooners who want the country without a group; families who need pacing, child seats and rooms that work; small private groups of friends travelling together; and repeat visitors who have done the classic circuit and now want the High Atlas properly.

It is not designed for travellers whose priority is the lowest possible headline price. Our shared Agafay and trekking departures exist for that, and we will say so honestly if that is the better fit.

How long you actually need

Three to four days covers Marrakech with one excursion — the High Atlas or Agafay, not both comfortably. Five to seven days is the point where Marrakech, the mountains and a desert night stop feeling rushed. Ten days or more opens the long transits: Merzouga, the Draa, Fes, the Atlantic coast.

The distances decide this, not our preference. From central Marrakech, Imlil is approximately 1.5 hours, Essaouira approximately 3 hours and Merzouga approximately 9 hours of driving across the High Atlas. These are indicative times in normal conditions — traffic, stops, weather and road works all change them, and we plan with margin rather than to the minute. An itinerary that ignores that arithmetic looks good on paper and is exhausting in a vehicle.

Drivers, guides and vehicles

Morocco licenses guiding as a separate profession from driving. Our drivers are our own team and handle the route, the timings and the door-to-door logistics; for Marrakech, Fes and the monuments we bring in a licensed city guide rather than pretending the driver is one.

Vehicle class follows the terrain: a Vito or V-Class style minivan for tarmac transfers and long transits, a Land Cruiser-class 4x4 for desert piste and rough mountain track. We confirm the class allocated for your dates and never promise a named model before it is allocated.

Accommodation and dining

We plan accommodation rather than resell a fixed list: a medina riad in Marrakech, a mountain stay in the Asni valley or Imlil, a desert camp of the tier you actually want. Where a stay is a named property such as Kasbah Tamadot, we book it as an independent operator and check live availability before quoting.

Dining is arranged where it matters — a private table, a mountain picnic, a valley dinner — and left open where a good evening is better found than scheduled. Dietary requirements are taken at the brief stage, not on the day.

Season, altitude and physical demand

Marrakech and Agafay are comfortable from roughly October to May and very hot at midday in July and August. The High Atlas is the reverse: summer is the easy walking season, and winter brings snow above Imlil where conditions can require equipment and experience. Desert nights are cold from November to February.

Most luxury mountain days are valley walking of one to four hours, adaptable on the day. Anything at altitude — the Toubkal refuges and above — is a trekking product with real physical demand, and we will tell you plainly if the party is not suited to it. We do not guarantee weather, and we do not run a mountain day that is not safe.

How a quotation works, and what Price on request means

No programme on these pages shows a figure, because the price depends on your dates, your party size, the accommodation tier and live availability — and because we will not publish a rate we have not verified. Price on request means exactly that, not a hidden premium.

You send a brief, we check availability and current rates with the properties and suppliers, and you receive one written proposal with a single final price and everything it covers named. Nothing is paid before you have that in writing. Enquiring three to six months ahead gives the widest choice; shorter lead times are often still possible outside peak weeks.

All journey times on this page are indicative, measured from central Marrakech in normal conditions. Traffic, stops, weather and road conditions change them, and we plan with margin rather than to the minute.

Where a private journey goes

Marrakech

The arrival point for almost every journey: medina riads, licensed city guides, private transfers that reach addresses a car cannot. Usually two nights at the start, one at the end.

Marrakech tours and private city days

The High Atlas and Imlil

Ninety minutes from the city and the ground our team is actually from. Valley walking, village hospitality, mountain stays, and Toubkal itself for those who want it.

The High Atlas, privately

Agafay

The stone desert approximately 45 minutes from central Marrakech. A sunset and dinner rather than an expedition — the right answer when the Sahara does not fit the days available.

Agafay desert experiences

The Sahara

Merzouga and the Draa are real desert and a real commitment: approximately nine hours of driving each way from Marrakech in normal conditions, best given three days or more, and worth it if you have them.

Morocco desert tours

Private transport across the country

Airport welcome, city-to-city transfers, full days with waiting time, or a driver for the length of the stay — quoted per vehicle rather than per person.

Private drivers and premium transfers

The Kasbah Tamadot Collection

Four private journeys in the Asni valley, approximately one hour from central Marrakech, each built around a stay at Kasbah Tamadot and run on the ground by our own team. Every programme is quoted individually.

Questions travellers ask before enquiring

Are your luxury Morocco tours private?
Yes. Every journey in this division is private by definition: your own vehicle, your own driver and your own guide, with no other travellers joining. Our shared departures are sold separately in the main catalogue.
Can I customise the itinerary?
The itinerary is built from your brief rather than chosen from a menu, and it can still be adjusted while you are here — start times, walking distance and the order of days are decisions we make with you on the ground.
How many days do I need for a luxury Morocco trip?
Five to seven days is the point at which Marrakech, the High Atlas and a desert night stop feeling rushed. Three to four days covers the city and one excursion well. Ten or more opens Merzouga, Fes and the coast without long punishing transits.
Can Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara be combined?
Yes, and it is one of our most requested shapes — but the driving matters. From central Marrakech, Imlil is approximately 1.5 hours; Merzouga is approximately 9 hours across the High Atlas in normal conditions. We would normally split that transit over two days with a stop in the Dades or Draa valley rather than drive it in one, and we quote indicative journey times rather than promises, because traffic, weather and road conditions decide the day.
Do you provide a private driver and airport pickup?
Both. Drivers are our own team, and a private welcome at Marrakech Menara or your chosen airport is standard, including medina addresses where the vehicle cannot reach the door.
Is the driver also a licensed guide?
No, and we do not pretend otherwise. Morocco licenses guiding as a separate profession, so we bring in a licensed local guide for the cities and monuments, and our own Amazigh mountain guides for the High Atlas.
How does Price on request work?
You send dates, party size and the kind of trip you want. We verify live availability and current rates, then send one written proposal with a single final price and everything it covers named. Nothing is paid before that.
How far ahead should I enquire?
Three to six months gives the widest choice of accommodation, particularly for the Asni valley properties and peak weeks. Shorter notice is frequently still workable — tell us the dates and we will say honestly what is left.
Are private Morocco journeys suitable for families?
Yes, and pacing is the reason to go private with children: shorter driving legs, rooms that work for the party, child seats on request and mountain walking scaled to the youngest walker.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated?
Tell us at the brief stage and they are built into the plan rather than negotiated at the table — vegetarian, halal, gluten-free and allergy requirements are all routine for our kitchens and the properties we use.
