Morocco is a driving country. From central Marrakech, Imlil is approximately 1.5 hours, Essaouira approximately 3 hours and Merzouga approximately 9 hours — indicative journey times only, since traffic, stops, weather and road conditions all move them. On any itinerary longer than a city break, the vehicle and the person driving it decide the quality of the trip more than the hotel does.
This is the transport side of our luxury division, and it can be booked as part of a journey or on its own: airport welcome, city-to-city transfers, full-day excursions with waiting time, or a driver for the length of your stay.

Quoted per vehicle per day rather than per person, from your route, dates, vehicle class and the number of travellers. One written figure before anything is paid.

What does a private driver actually do?
Door-to-door pickup including medina riads a car cannot reach, route and timing management, stops where they are worth making, practicalities at each end, and availability by phone in between. English or French, as you ask.
What is the driver not?
A licensed city guide. Morocco licenses guiding as a separate profession, so for Marrakech, Fes and the monuments we bring in a licensed specialist rather than pretending the driver is one.
Which vehicle will we get?
It follows the terrain. A Mercedes Vito or V-Class style minivan is the comfortable default for tarmac transfers and long transits; a Toyota Land Cruiser, Prado or equivalent 4x4 is what desert pistes and rough mountain tracks require. We confirm the class allocated for your dates and never guarantee a named model before it is allocated.
Why book transport through us?
Our drivers are our own team, not a brokered call. That is why the vehicle is at the road head at six in the evening when your walk ran long, and why the airport pickup happens even when the flight moves.

How much does a private driver in Morocco cost?
It is quoted per vehicle per day, so the cost per traveller falls sharply with group size. The figure depends on the route, the vehicle class the terrain requires and the season, which is why we quote it for your itinerary rather than publishing a rate.
Can I hire a driver for airport transfers only?
Yes. Marrakech Menara arrivals and departures are the most common single booking we take, including medina addresses where the vehicle cannot reach the door and a porter meets you.
Can you guarantee a Mercedes V-Class or a Land Cruiser?
We confirm the vehicle class for your booking, and we tell you exactly what has been allocated before you pay. We do not promise a specific named model in advance of allocation, because that would be a guess.
Does the driver speak English?
Tell us which language you want and we allocate accordingly. English and French are both standard; Spanish and Arabic are available on request subject to availability.
