Travel that gives back to the High Atlas.
Toubkal Foundation is a community initiative by Toubkal Views, focused on supporting useful local projects in the High Atlas and the Mount Toubkal region. It is not a registered charity or non-profit organisation. We publish a project here only once it has been verified — with its location, objective, budget and evidence.
The principle
Tourism in the High Atlas should create direct value for the mountain communities that make these experiences possible.
Where we intend to focus
These are areas of intent, not a list of completed work. Anything we fund will appear in the project record below, with evidence.

Education
Possible support for school materials, educational needs and learning opportunities for children in mountain communities — only where a real need is identified with the community.

Mountain communities
Practical, community-led needs in villages around the High Atlas. The community defines the need; we look at whether we can help usefully and transparently.

Mountain guides & local livelihoods
Responsible local employment, professional guiding, and keeping tourism income connected to the people who live in the mountains.

Environment & trails
Potential trail clean-ups, waste reduction and responsible mountain tourism practices around Mount Toubkal and the valleys below it.

Community support framework
A way for Toubkal Views to support specific, verified local needs when appropriate. This is not an emergency or rescue service.
Where the money goes
No fixed share of bookings is currently set aside, and booking a tour does not automatically make a donation. Individual Foundation projects and their funding commitments will be published here when they are confirmed — each with its target, what has been committed, what has actually been spent, and the evidence.

Verified impact
There are no verified figures to report yet, so we are not showing any. Projects completed, villages supported, funds committed and funds deployed will appear here only when they are backed by published project records.
How a project gets published
- A need is raised with, or by, the community.
- The need, location and budget are checked.
- Toubkal Views approves the project and any funding.
- Only then is the project published, with progress, photos and evidence added as it happens.
Private details about individuals are never published. Photos of people appear only where appropriate and with consent.

We are not accepting donations or payments for the Foundation at this stage. Before that changes we will publish how contributions are handled, who they are for, how they are accounted for and exactly what they pay for. If you would like to hear when a specific, verified project is open for support, you can tell us by email.
