Full description

This is trekking at children's pace. Each day covers 3 to 4 hours on well-graded mule paths between villages in the Imlil, Tamatert and Ouirgane areas, with long stops for tea, swimming in river pools and playing football with village kids.

We provide an extra mule so a tired child — or an adult — can ride whenever they want, and our guides carry everything except your day bag. Nights are in family guesthouses with proper beds, hot showers and home cooking.

Along the way families join a bread-making session in a communal oven, visit a village school when it is open, and learn to identify the crops on the terraces. It is the kind of trip that turns into the story children tell at school in September.
