This Agafay desert luxury camp experience from Marrakech offers a slower pace of travel for those looking to escape the busy city. You will settle into a design camp on the edge of the desert, featuring a swimming pool, shaded lounges, and views of the Atlas range. It is an ideal option for travellers who want to combine relaxation with traditional Moroccan hospitality. The experience is designed for small groups of up to twenty people seeking a quiet retreat.
Your day begins with free pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, arriving at the camp around midday. You are welcomed with traditional mint tea and pastries before being allocated your private Berber tent for the day. The afternoon is yours to spend swimming in the pool, sunbathing on the loungers, and enjoying lunch on the terrace. As evening approaches, you will head to a viewpoint to enjoy drinks as the Atlas mountains change colour in the sunset.
When night falls, the camp lights hundreds of lanterns along the paths to create a quiet, ambient atmosphere. You will sit down to a multi-course Moroccan dinner on the terrace, with vegetarian and vegan options prepared for you. The meal is accompanied by live entertainment, including traditional Gnawa music and a fire dancing show. Later in the evening, the dark desert sky offers a clear space for stargazing away from the city lights of Marrakech.
You can choose to return to Marrakech after the show or extend your stay with the overnight option. Those who stay will sleep in a fully furnished en-suite tent equipped with real beds and hot showers, waking up to breakfast at sunrise. Return transfers, camp access, and evening entertainment are all included, with hosts guiding you in English and French. It is a straightforward, relaxing excursion that requires no strenuous activity or difficult travel.
