Agadir is not an old city — it was rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake — so it reads differently from Marrakech or Fes. This half day shows you what it actually is: a working Atlantic port and a modern Moroccan resort city with one of the largest markets in the country.
You start on the Kasbah hill above the bay, where the old fortifications and the hillside inscription look down over the whole crescent of beach, then come down through the city to Souk El Had, a walled market of thousands of stalls selling everything from argan oil and spices to pottery and textiles.
The tour finishes along the water — the fishing port, the marina and the palm-lined promenade — with time for a coffee or grilled sardines before you are dropped back at your hotel.
Hour 1
Pickup and the Kasbah hill
Collection from your hotel and up to the viewpoint above the bay for the best panorama of Agadir.
Hour 2
Souk El Had
Time in the walled market: spices, argan oil, pottery, textiles and the produce halls.
Hour 3
Port and marina
The fishing port and the marina, with a stop for coffee or fresh grilled sardines.
Hour 4
Promenade and drop-off
The beach promenade and the new city, then back to your hotel.
Not in the way Marrakech or Fes have one — the 1960 earthquake destroyed the old town. The Kasbah hill above the bay is the historic site.
