Your day begins with a private collection from your hotel, riad, or the nearest medina access point in Marrakech. You will set out in an air-conditioned vehicle for an orientation drive along the old ramparts and monumental city gates that mark the boundary of the historic city. From here, your licensed guide leads you into the palace quarter to examine the courtyards, carved wooden ceilings, and detailed zellige tilework of the old palaces.
As the tour continues, you will visit a historic madrasa, which showcases some of the finest carved cedar and stucco interiors in Morocco, followed by a study of the Saadian period monuments. To ensure your comfort, Toubkal Views provides a professional driver and bottled water throughout the four-hour journey. Your guide is fluent in English, French, Spanish, German, or Italian, letting you ask detailed questions about the craftsmanship and history in your preferred language.
This tour requires a moderate amount of walking through old streets, making comfortable walking shoes and sun protection highly recommended. You are asked to wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees for the historical and religious sites.
