Your day begins with a free pickup from your hotel or riad in an air-conditioned vehicle that provides transport between districts. In the morning, you will visit the historic palace quarter to see Moroccan craftsmanship in the carved cedar and zellige tilework, followed by a stop at the gardens and the exterior of the great minaret. You will then enjoy a complimentary mint tea break and some free time to find lunch at a local spot of your choice.
During the afternoon, you will head into the medina on foot to walk through the artisan quarters, where you can watch dyers and metalworkers at their craft. Your guide will take you through the spice and food souks to discover the vibrant daily life of the city. The day finishes at Jemaa el-Fnaa square as it comes alive with activity, before your driver drops you back at your accommodation.
Because this is a private tour, you have the flexibility to adjust the focus of your day, whether you prefer more time for shopping, history, or photography. Your licensed guide can lead the tour in English, French, Spanish, German, or Italian to suit your preferences. This itinerary involves walking roughly five to seven kilometres on uneven ground, making comfortable walking shoes and sun protection essential. You will also need modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees for religious sites, which are viewed from the outside. The tour operates year-round, though monument opening hours may vary on Fridays and religious holidays.
