This 6-day Marrakech, High Atlas and Essaouira private tour is designed for travellers who want to explore Morocco's dramatic mountains and ocean coast rather than making a long journey to the desert dunes. It suits those seeking a gentler travel pace, with no more than four hours of driving on any single day. You will experience the contrasting landscapes of terraced Berber valleys, ancient kasbahs, and the breezy Atlantic shore.
Your journey begins as you travel from Marrakech into the High Atlas mountains to walk through traditional Berber villages and stay in a mountain guesthouse with valley views. You will then cross the mountain passes to the historic kasbah route, taking an unhurried walk through Ait Ben Haddou before spending the night nearby. After exploring Ouarzazate, you head west, spending a night on the road before driving to the coast.
The final part of your week is dedicated to the Atlantic port of Essaouira, where you will spend two nights. This UNESCO-listed town offers a relaxed environment where you have a free day to wander through the medina, watch the harbour boats, and walk along the stone ramparts. On your final day, you will stop at a women's argan cooperative before returning to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Throughout the trip, you will travel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle with your own experienced driver. Your booking includes daily breakfast, accommodation for all five nights, bottled water in the vehicle, and free pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad lobby.
