This 7-day Morocco tour from Marrakech introduces you to the country's most famous landscapes and historical cities on a fully private journey. Your journey begins with a drive across the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass to the ancient kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, before continuing through the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley. You will then explore the Todra gorges and head east to Merzouga, where you will experience a sunset camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend a night in a desert camp. Waking up for a desert sunrise, you travel north through the Ziz Valley palm canyons and the Middle Atlas cedar forests to the ancient imperial city of Fes.
After a free day exploring the souks and tanneries of Fes, you will head into the Rif mountains to walk the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen. The return leg to Marrakech takes you through the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial gates of Meknes, complete with an overnight stop along the way. Throughout the entire week, your experienced English-speaking driver handles all the navigation, fuel, tolls, and road logistics in an air-conditioned vehicle. Free pickup and drop-off are included from your Marrakech hotel or riad lobby, with breakfast provided every morning of the trip.
Since this is a private tour, departure dates are flexible to suit your personal travel schedule. The daily driving distances are paced to ensure you have plenty of stops at scenic viewpoints and time to walk around. Because temperatures vary significantly, you should prepare for hot afternoons and cold desert nights by packing layers, comfortable walking shoes, and sun protection.
