This 4-day Morocco tour from Marrakech introduces you to the changing landscapes of the south, designed for private groups of one to seven travellers who want to experience the Sahara Desert at an adjustable pace. You will journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass to reach the UNESCO-listed earthen kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The route is crafted to show you the classic desert-bound path of historic kasbahs, deep gorges, and towering sand dunes.
Your journey unfolds with a private vehicle and driver at your disposal, taking you from the high mountain passes down to the winding roads of the Dades Valley. You will walk through the sheer rock walls of the Todra Gorge and travel east to the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. At golden hour, you swap your vehicle for a camel ride into the dunes to spend the night in a traditional desert camp, complete with dinner and Berber music under the stars.
After watching the sunrise over the sand dunes on day three, you will travel back west through Rissani and the Draa region to overnight in the Ouarzazate or Skoura area. The final day brings a relaxed return journey over the Atlas Mountains with stops at Berber villages and argan cooperatives, finishing with an afternoon drop-off in Marrakech. Your experienced English-speaking driver handles all road logistics, fuel, and tolls while providing bottled water inside your air-conditioned vehicle.

Morning pickup, Tizi n'Tichka pass, a guided walk through Ait Ben Haddou, a stop in Ouarzazate and on through Skoura and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley for the night.
Day 2
Dades → Todra Gorge → Merzouga dunes
The Dades hairpins in the morning light, then the Todra Gorge, lunch in the palmeraie and the long drive east. Camel ride into Erg Chebbi at sunset, dinner and a night in a desert camp.
Day 3
Sahara sunrise → Rissani → Ouarzazate side
Sunrise over the dunes, breakfast at the camp, then west again with stops at desert villages and viewpoints before overnighting in the Ouarzazate or Skoura area.

Back over the Atlas to Marrakech
A relaxed morning, the Tizi n'Tichka in reverse with Berber village and argan stops, and drop-off at your Marrakech hotel in the afternoon.
