Full description

Almost everything sold around Imlil starts in Marrakech, three hours of driving away. This does not. If you are already in the valley — in a guesthouse, at Afla Sky Views, or passing through before a trek — you meet your guide in the village and start walking.

The route follows the mule paths above Imlil: walnut terraces, the irrigation channels that keep them alive, the hamlets built into the slope, and the view up the Mizane valley toward Mount Toubkal. Your guide lives and works in this valley and sets the pace and the distance to your group.

It is a walking morning or afternoon rather than a sightseeing stop, and it is the easiest way to understand what a longer High Atlas trek would actually feel like.
