First: do you actually need this?

Read this before anything else. Every guided Mount Toubkal trek we sell includes return private transport between Marrakech and Imlil. If you have booked one of those, your transport is already paid for, and buying a transfer on top of it would be paying twice for the same road.

You need an independent transfer if you are travelling to Imlil on your own — to stay in the valley, to walk from the village, to collect rental equipment, or to meet a trek that begins in Imlil rather than in Marrakech.

What the journey is

Imlil sits south of Marrakech in the Mizane valley, and it is the trailhead for almost every Mount Toubkal itinerary. The road leaves the plain, climbs through Asni and finishes on a narrow mountain road into the village. It is a real mountain drive, not a motorway run, and that is the honest reason we do not publish a journey time on a page: we give you the realistic time for your date and departure hour in writing with your quote.

Kit, bags and the vehicle

Trekking parties arrive with more than suitcases: duffels, boot bags, poles, sometimes hired gear collected on the way. Tell us the number and size of bags along with the number of passengers. Imlil village has a road head, but not every property in the valley is at the end of a road a car can use — some are above the village on foot or mule paths.
