What a Mount Toubkal Trek Costs — and What Sits Behind the Price
Prices vary widely for the same mountain. Understanding what sits behind a price is more useful than chasing the lowest one.
What does a Toubkal trek include?
Our current prices are shown on each tour page — the 2-day summit trek, the 3-day Azzaden route and the 4-day trek — with a direct booking discount applied when you book with us rather than through a platform. We do not publish other companies' prices here, and we would encourage scepticism of anyone who does.
What is actually being paid for?

Almost all of that has a fixed floor: guides, muleteers and refuge staff are paid people, and food carried to 3,200 m costs more than food in the medina. A price far below the market usually means someone in that list is being squeezed.
What is normally not included?
- Personal trekking kit — boots, layers, poles, and winter hardware
- Travel insurance with mountain cover (bring it; the altitude matters to insurers)
- Drinks and snacks bought at the refuge or in the valley
- Tips for guides and muleteers, which are customary and appreciated
- Accommodation in Marrakech before and after
Does a longer trek cost more per day?
Not necessarily. Fixed costs — transport, arranging the trip, guide mobilisation — spread across more days, so the third and fourth days are often better value than the first two, and they materially improve your chance of summiting. Group or private?
Private trips cost more per person because the guide, transport and logistics are yours alone; small group departures share them. Neither is better — it depends on whether you want flexibility or company.
